LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a fatal collision that happened Sunday, October 26.

The coroner says the victim 17-year-old George Gomez Jr., of Leesville was pronounced dead at the hospital from his injuries.

According to troopers just before 5:30 in the morning Gomez was traveling on Jim Spence Road when he left the right side of the road, and hit a tree.

Authorities say he was wearing a seat belt. This incident remains under investigation.
