University of Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian has offered a concerning update regarding quarterback Arch Manning ahead of the Longhorns’ matchup vs. No. 9 Vanderbilt on Saturday.
Manning did not practice on Monday due to being in concussion protocol, with the HC noting that the team would be getting another injury later in the week.
The QB sustained an injury during the first play of Texas’ overtime win over Mississippi State last weekend.
Should he miss the upcoming game, graduate transfer Matthew Caldwell will start under center. Caldwell came off the bench to throw the winning touchdown against the Bulldogs on Saturday, helping Texas to a 45-38 win.
