The Houston Rockets were in the spotlight this offseason after acquiring Kevin Durant in a blockbuster seven-team trade from the Phoenix Suns. But in the debut game, Durant and Houston fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder, which led to Durant leaving the court in frustration.

However, Houston got their first win on Monday for the 2025-26 season. It also marked the first win for Kevin Durant after a 0-2 start with the Rockets.

Durant’s competitive fire flared in the second quarter when he expressed frustration over a call that didn’t go his way. During a timeout, cameras caught him passionately arguing his case to the referee after being called for an offensive foul on Jalen Wilson.

“How are you telling me I’m the one playing?” Durant said.
