ST. CLOUD — The Alexandria girls swimming and diving team made collective gains over the weekend.

The Cardinals competed the Central Lakes Conference championships hosted by St. Cloud Apollo, finishing in ninth place. Overall, the Alexandria swimmers' performances were highlighted by the team’s 12 season-best performances at the meet.

Overall, head coach Mark Storhaug praised the team’s efforts at the meet and were pleased to see the overall progress of the program from the start of the season until now.

“The coaches were really proud of the great preparation, focus, and effort the girls put into the meet,” Storhaug said. “It was exciting to see so many end-of-season bests. That’s a reflection of their hard work.”
