INDIANAPOLIS — With the help of Indiana State Police and Beech Grove Police, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says they arrested seven people for reckless driving and street takeovers over the weekend.
"If we have to take your vehicle away, that's what we're going to do," said IMPD Ofc. Tommy Thompson. "We don't want to do that, but if that's what we have to do, we're going to do that, and we're going to hold them accountable. No vehicle, no street takeover."
Thompson said people frequently call them about street takeovers. Street takeovers involve several cars blocking a street or parking lot and spinning or making donuts.
