A suspect reportedly sat down for a glass of wine at the kitchen table after he allegedly broke into a Palo Alto home over the weekend, police said.
A resident called police about 12:23 p.m. Sunday to report a burglary at his home in the 2600 block of Bryant Street.
The resident, a man in his 70s, told police he had left earlier in the day and found the suspect upon his return.
"When he returned home, he found the suspect sitting at the kitchen table drinking his wine," Palo Alto police said in a news release.
The suspect, later identified as 31-year-old Sabina Blanco of San Francisco, left the home when the resident told him to leave, police said. The resident told authorities that his house had been rummaged through.
