EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — October is Dyslexia Awareness Month.
The International Dyslexia Association estimates that 1 in 10 people have been diagnosed with dyslexia.
Brown University's Dr. Emily Oster joined 12 News at 4 Monday to share the signs of dyslexia and what parents should watch out for while teaching their children how to read.
Oster also discussed a recent study that proved early exposure to peanut products could prevent the development of life-threatening allergies.
