DEER LODGE, Mont. – The Montana State Prison has announced that water service has been restored to all buildings and housing units at the facility.
The prison faced a water outage in the secure facility compound on October 10, affecting showers, toilets and sinks.
In response, multiple agencies collaborated to provide essential resources, including water bottles, portable toilets, portable showers, dry shower kits and hand washing stations.
Although water service is now restored, the prison remains under a boil advisory.
The facility will continue testing the water until it is certified for consumption. Inmates will still have access to bottled water during this period.
