MUSKEGON, Mich. — A man has been arraigned on charges related to shooting at two Muskegon Township police officers .

19-year-old Janari Kemon Spencer was arraigned Monday on two charges of Assault with Intent to Murder.

The shooting happened Wednesday, Oct. 15 around 1:15 a.m. at a home in the 1600 block of Ada Avenue. A 911 caller had reported a disturbance at the home.

When the two responding officers arrived, Spencer allegedly fired at the officers using an "AR-style" weapon.

The officers were unable to return fire and were not injured. A patrol vehicle was hit by gunfire, according to police.

Spencer then ran and was picked up by a getaway car, according to investigators.

Spencer was arrested over a week later at the Roadway Inn in Grand Haven.
