NIAGARA, Ky. (WEHT) -- Days after Saturday's house explosion in Niagara, the fire department is sharing new details of the incident.

Fire crews are still investigating the cause of the explosion that left three people severely injured. William Durham is the great grandparent to one of those injured and he says while his granddaughter is injured she's expected to be okay.

"Her hand were burned,” says Durham. “I don't know what kind of degree they called but they're red and she's got a broken arm up here. This part up here, they said it was broken and her face all swelled up.”

As for the explosion itself, according to officials with the Niagara Volunteer Fire Department, the explosion was unusual because it kept burning.
