SUPERIOR — The construction fences are down and morale is up as skaters get back on their boards at the Heritage Skate Park. On Monday afternoon, Oct. 27, a pair of longtime skaters shared their thoughts on the recently renovated skate park as they took some runs.

Matt Peterson, 42, of Superior, grew up skating in town. He liked the new layout and obstacles in the park.

“It’s a great mellow ride,” Peterson said of the new layout. “It’s great to learn on.”

David Deluca, of Superior, was skating the new feature of the park, a bowl. He learned to skate in a bowl while working in Ohio.

“It’s intimidating for sure,” Deluca said.
