GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Early voting is getting more popular among voters as counties across the East are seeing more people this year compared to the last municipal election in 2023.

Early voting for the 2025 municipal elections is well underway across eastern North Carolina. Since October 16th, people have been filing into the early voting sites to have their voices heard.

“Voting is a privilege that I think all Americans should take advantage of,” Voter Claude Pruitt said.

On Monday, four new voting sites opened across Pitt County. According to the Board of Elections Director Dave Davis, the county is seeing more people coming out early compared to the last municipal elections.
