Bertie County deputies looking for missing man last seen near fishing pier

BERTIE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - The Bertie County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing man.

Brenden Armstrong was last known to be at the Hoggard Mill Road fishing pier, according to deputies.

Armstrong is 5 feet 4 inches. He has blue eyes and brown hair.

Deputies do not know what he was last known to be wearing.

Deputies are asking boaters in the Cashie River and Albemarle Sound to pay special attention, as they say Armstrong may have entered the water on a green kayak between Sunday, October 26th, and Monday, October 27th, from the pier.

Deputies are asking anyone who has traveled through the Hoggard Mill Road area on Sunday or Monday and has seen a white Jeep SUV parked at the pier to contact them at 252-325-7386.
