BECKLEY, WV (WVNS) -- With the clock set to change this weekend, people will feel the effects of gaining back that hour we lost in the spring.
But how exactly will it affect us?
Dr. Ahmed Faheem, a psychiatrist with Appalachian Psychiatric Services, said it will have the largest effect on our sleep.
He said children will be especially affected by the change.
"Even when you go back, you know, it's much darker, they have to stay out for the school bus, it starts getting, you know, colder. You know, as the daylight time changes. So, I think it's a major adjustment for a lot of people whether you're old or you're young," said Dr. Faheem.
Dr. Faheem said older people will also have a harder time adjusting, especially because they already have a difficult time reaching REM sleep.
