DALLAS -- With injuries piling up in their backcourt, the Pacers waived one of their four centers to make room for a guard with three NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest championships on his resume.

The Pacers waived center James Wiseman and signed guard Mac McClung to a multi-year, non-guaranteed contract, league sources confirmed to the IndyStar on Monday. Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype had the story of Wiseman's waiving first and ESPN's Shams Charania reported McClung's signing first.

The Pacers entered Sunday night's game against the Timberwolves in Minnesota with seven players listed as out on the injury report and forward Obi Toppin left the game with a hamstring strain.
