PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- Three 16-years-olds and one 14-year-old were arrested in Peoria Friday, Oct. 24 for gun charges.

The teens are charged with possession of a weapon by a minor, under 21 and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

Peoria Police report investigating a home in the 5800 block of North Western Avenue, about 7:45 p.m., Friday, Oct. 24. Officers said they found all four teens in the detached garage of the home with three handguns on the ground near the feet of three of the boys.

After talking with the teens, all four were arrested and taken to the Juvenile Detention Center. It's unclear if they were detained.
