[CEDAR FALLS, Iowa] — The Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center at the University of Northern Iowa has completed its renovation and expansion.
The nearly $15 million project increased the building's footprint by about 10 percent, adding roughly 1,400 square feet. Community donations made this possible, ranging from $50 to as much as $1 million.
Steve Carignan, the executive director at Gallagher Bluedorn, expressed gratitude for the community's support. "It was everybody working together and every single donor made this building happen and so we stand in the shoulders of a lot of people and we're so lucky to be here and so lucky to have this outcome," Carignan said.
