SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is inviting residents to a virtual program where they learn how to identify waterfowl.
According to an MDC news release, the program "Birds: Winter Waterfowl ID" is being held online from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14.
The event is being held by the staff of MDC's Springfield Conservation Nature Center, the release says.
Jordanya Raos, MDC Naturalist, will present the various types of migratory waterfowl species that use waterways in the area during the winter. This will include ducks, geese, swans, and other waterfowl species.
MDC states that they hope the event will give attendees a deeper appreciation for the birds that travel to Missouri waters each year.
The program is free to all interested viewers, but
