Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is leading the 2028 Democratic field for president in New Hampshire, according to a new poll from the University of New Hampshire. Nineteen percent in the Granite State Poll backed Buttigieg, who ran for president in 2020 in the Democratic primary and later notched a spot in former President Biden’s administration, leading the Department of Transportation. California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) came in second behind Buttigieg in the poll, with 15 percent support.
