TYLER, Texas — The holiday season is right around the corner, and that means one thing: more packages headed to your front door. But if you live in East Texas, those Amazon orders might be arriving a lot faster this year.

Although the facility has been up and running for a few weeks, today was their official ribbon-cutting ceremony. The facility, just off Highway 271, promises not just quicker deliveries — but also more than 100 jobs.

"A lot of our neighbors are going to be working here with Amazon, and Amazon's a company that's well known for being a good employer that provides good benefits for their employees, so we welcome them, because they are known globally as being an employer of choice,"Scott Martinez, the Tyler Economic Development Council President and CEO, said.
