MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — An 18-year-old man died Sunday in Blount County following a crash along Wildwood Road.

Deputies responded to the crash near Jameswood Drive around 10:15 p.m. According to a crash report from the sheriff's office, the car was traveling west on Wildwood Road when it went off the roadway to the left.

The report states that the car hit a concrete culvert, overturned in a driveway, went into a ditch and ultimately struck a tree. Zander Lewis, of Maryville, was killed in the crash.

Investigators wrote that one of the wheels of the car detached and traveled approximately 100 yards before hitting a witness's vehicle.
