POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Poughkeepsie man was arraigned Monday on a multi-count indictment of child endangerment and sexual abuse.
John Espinosa, 62, was charged with one count of predatory sexual assault against a child, one count of course of sexual conduct against a child, two counts of attempted rape, two counts of sexual abuse, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
The Dutchess County District Attorney's Office said the incidents occurred between January 20, 2022 and January 19, 2023 and involved a child who was under the age of 13 when the alleged abuse began.
Bail was set at $250,000 cash, $500,000 bond and $2.5 million partially secured bond. Espinosa is scheduled to return to court on November 17.
