MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – Minot Police and Minot Public Schools are addressing reports of threats to Minot North High School.
Minot Police said officers “thoroughly looked into this matter and have found no information indicating any active or ongoing threat to the school or community.”
The department said they will have an increased presence at the school Wednesday in an abundance of caution.
In a letter emailed to parents, Superintendent Scott Faul said “appropriate disciplinary actions” are being taken and school will continue as scheduled, with the added police.
Faul said counselors and support staff will be available to discuss concerns with students.
In the letter to parents, Faul encouraged parents to bring concerns directly to the school rather than posting online.
