After facing an early one-goal deficit, seventh-seeded Newark Tech fought back for a 2-1 win in penalties over 14th-seeded Caldwell in the Essex County Invitational semifinals in West Caldwell.
Gabriel Elias tied the game for Newark Tech off an assist from Brayton Joyo.
Newark Tech (13-4) won the penalty shootout 4-2.
Goalie Brody Newman had nine saves for Caldwell (6-11-2), while Jovani Pleitez had eight saves in net for Newark Tech.
Newark Tech will play the winner of the Shabazz/East Orange game in the final on Thursday.
