HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) -- A lot of goodbyes were said at Hoover City Hall on Monday night, some of which were for Hoover Mayor Frank Brocato.
The mayor lost his reelection bid for a third term to Hoover Police Chief Nick Derzis. The city council also took time to recognize three council members who did not run for reelection in August.
Monday marked the last city council meeting for Hoover City Council President John Lyda, who decided not to run for another term after serving on the council since 2012. CBS 42 asked him what he’s most proud of during his time on the city council.
