GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Florida Forest Service officials expect a wildfire in Marion County to burn for at least another week, but say it’s no longer affecting driving conditions.
Crews said the fire broke out on Northwest Gainesville Road on October 10th. The fire caused several piles of vegetation to catch fire.
Two weeks ago, Marion County school buses had to take alternate routes to Fessenden Elementary due to smoke in the area.
