CLEMSON, S.C. —

Two months after getting feedback from the community, Clemson City leaders are sharing the first draft of plans for Abernathy Park.

The plans were on display during a public drop-in meeting on Monday afternoon.

"This is really the conceptual design. So we have an opportunity for everyone to see what our design team has put together," said City Engineer Nathan Hinkle.

In August, the city hosted a drop-in session where the public could share their thoughts on the park's future.

"A lot of the input was, hey, we want to maintain some of the boardwalk feel. We want to be able to see the water. We want to be able to enjoy the water, whether it's through kayaks, canoes, boats, or just being able to fish," Hinkle said.
