ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -In just over a week, Creve Coeur locals will vote on Proposition 1, which would be an online tax for out-of-state or online vendors.
According to Mayor Robert Hoffman, if the tax is passed, it is expected to generate from $600,000 to $1.2 million.
First Alert 4 asked city leaders where that money would go.
“We will use it for the general fund, primarily for trash, and recycling services, police services, as well as leaf and limb pick-up,” said Lori Obermoeller, director of finance of Creve Coeur.
City leaders say if the tax passes, it would be the same rate as the current tax.
Creve Coeur locals will have the last decision on Nov. 4.
