Washington State Patrol (WSP) troopers provided an update on the kitten they rescued last week.
The kitten, now known to be female, has been named Trooper by the agency.
During her initial checkup, a veterinarian discovered that Trooper had a broken leg.
Her new owner, Trooper Bolin, took her for a follow-up appointment where it was determined that her leg needed to be amputated.
Despite this setback, Trooper is recovering well and living up to her name.
She is adapting beautifully to her new environment and has settled in with her new furry siblings.
