BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Now that LSU has officially parted ways with head football coach Brian Kelly, attention is turning to the university’s next big challenge.

The school owes Kelly $54 million, a figure that could make it one of the largest buyouts in college football history.

“I think it was inevitable that Coach Kelly had to go,” said Roy Maughan Jr., a contract attorney who specializes in sports agreements.
