A Cincinnati artist who beat out hundreds of contestants to make it on NBC’s hit show “The Voice” has seen his run come to an end.
Elias Gomez, a 29-year-old singer originally from Havana, Cuba, who now calls Cincinnati home, secured a spot on The Voice after impressing judges with his performance of "Lonely Teardrops" by Jackie Wilson. Advertisement
Gomez, better known as the Cuban Cowboy, was in the battle round on Monday night’s show but lost to a fellow contestant from Michael Bublé’s team.
Despite being cut, Gomez said he was thrilled to be part of the show and the experience has given him more confidence.
