To bring home the message that human trafficking happens everywhere and to caution students about dangers associated with online interactions, the nonprofit Forward Human Trafficking Task Force is visiting local schools to make the community more aware and youth more safe.
Last week, Sherry Motcheck, founder of Forward Human Trafficking Task Force, working with detectives and school resource offices from the Mason County Sheriff’s Office and Ludington Police Department, presented a program at Mason County Central which highlighted real-life cases in Mason County to demonstrate encounters can occur anywhere.
Motcheck, along with Detectives Jake Miller and Kyle Boyd, spoke with the Ludington Daily News about this task force and information both parents and youth should know.
