It’s that time of year. The pumpkins are carved, the decorations are out and all the little ghouls and gremlins are primed to head out in search of that most coveted prize: free candy. But it’s also time to be careful and ensure the scares remain in the name of good fun.

While Halloween festivities have already begun in many places, it’s never too late to remember to be safe.

– Have children carry a flashlight to see where they’re going
