Dorchester police officers responded to a report of two males with firearms Sunday evening, resulting in two arrests on multiple firearm- and drug-related offenses.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers saw two men – Shawquan Jackson, 35, of Brookline, and Tyreek Woodley, 26, of Dorchester – walking into a driveway at 34 Alpha Road and unlocking a motor vehicle. The police were informed by the property owners that the two did not live there.
Attempting to handcuff Woodley, officers felt a firearm in Woodley’s jacket pocket, at which point Woodley fled. Following a foot chase, he was caught and the firearm was determined to be a stolen Glock 43 with one round in the chamber and 12 bullets in the magazine.
Officers saw Jackson reaching for a fanny pack and placed him in handcuffs, recoverin
