Hired to tidy up the shoreline along Canal Road earlier this month, Phil Donnelly saw no harm in bringing along his 13-year-old companion — a Lab mix named Tasha.

“I brought my dog with me to play in the water … she was having fun,” he said Friday, as he and Cindy Cappelle showed photos of Tasha they had taken recently.
