Seeking a promotion in Canada’s uncertain economic landscape can feel like a challenging corporate ladder climb. Yet, a recent survey of Canadian workers by human resources consulting firm Robert Half points to opportunity with fewer than one in three professionals surveyed seeking a management position.
“That speaks to an ongoing issue with the talent pool of potential leaders,” says Eric Saine, executive director of the McGill Executive Institute at McGill University. “There is a growing trend of workers not seeking leadership.”
