A Coralville man accused of wounding two people during a shooting in Iowa City's Pedestrian Mall has pleaded guilty, but may avoid jail time.
Iziah Poulsen, 24, pleaded guilty to participating in a riot, a Class "D" felony, and reckless use of a firearm that caused property damage, an aggravated misdemeanor, on Oct. 24.
In his guilty plea, according to court documents, Poulsen admitted that he "discharge(d) a firearm in a reckless manner resulting in property damage to three downtown businesses" and assembled with "three or more persons in a violent manner" in the early morning hours of July 20, 2024 .
