Brockville Mayor Matt Wren violated city council’s code of conduct in his dealings with the former organizers of the city’s Santa Claus Parade, an integrity commissioner’s report concludes.

In a report to be discussed at tonight’s regular council meeting, Ellen Fry, the city’s integrity commissioner, concludes the mayor violated the code of conduct on two occasions, first “by trying to intimidate” someone “by applying pressure at her place of work,” and in another instance by treating members of the public disrespectfully with the use of the term “wackadoodle.”
