Last night’s 18-inning marathon between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 3 of the World Series will go down as one of those unforgettable — and exhausting — classics. For fans across Canada, it was a rollercoaster of emotions that stretched deep into the night.

I’ll be honest — I tried to go to bed. Really, I did. But there’s something about playoff baseball that won’t let you turn away, especially when your team is hanging on pitch by pitch, inning after inning. Before I knew it, the clock had struck 12:50 a.m. here in Saskatchewan, and the game had finally ended — not in our favour. An 18-inning heartbreaker that left Blue Jays fans everywhere stunned, proud, and completely sleep-deprived.
