Women fighting for compensation over changes to their State Pension age have urged the Government to act now to avoid a "costly, lengthy legal battle." They say it's not too late for ministers to meet them and resolve the issue for good.

Women Against State Pension Inequality (WASPI) represents many of the 3.8 million women born between April 6, 1950, and April 5, 1960, who found their pension age had gone up from 60 to 65 and then 66. It is preparing for a court showdown in December.

The judicial review is scheduled to be heard in the High Court on December 9 and 10, 2025. The judge is expected to issue a decision next spring.
