PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Today will likely be the warmest day this week for the Valley with a forecast high of 93 degrees. That’s 8 degrees above normal for this time of year in Phoenix and 4 degrees shy of the record.
High pressure building over the region will bring above-average temperatures for the next few days. A backdoor cold front coming in from the east will shave a degree or two off our afternoon high Wednesday and Thursday, but overall warm and dry weather will continue.
The weak cold front will also drive breezy conditions in the higher elevations today. The stronger northeasterly winds will be most noticeable along and south of the Mogollon Rim, in the higher elevations just north and east of the Valley and in the Colorado River Valley of western Arizona.
Looking ahead to Hall
