The producers of The Eternaut have started production on Netflix ‘s The Future is Ours , a dystopian series based on sci-fi scribe Philip K. Dick’s novel The World Jones Made .
Much of Bladerunner author Dick’s work has been brought to screen but this marks the first Spanish-language adaptation. K&S Films , which made Argentina-produced Netflix hit The Eternaut , is making the series with Electric Shepherd Productions, the production arm of the Dick estate.
Mateo Gil, who adapted Pedro Páramo for the streamer, is attached as showrunner. Brazilian directors Vicente Amorim ( Senna ) and Daniel Rezende ( The Son of A Thousand Men ) are on board alongside Argentine Jesús Braceras ( Barrabrava ).
Per the synopsis, the limited eight-part series is set in South America
