PICKENS COUNTY, S.C. —
A bridge in Pickens County, South Carolina, is expected to be closed until the end of the year.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation announced Tuesday, it has closed the Laurel Road bridge over Middle Branch Brushy Creek for repairs.
The repairs are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
As part of this closure, a detour route has been set up.
Detour Route for Traffic Southbound on Laurel Road (S-39-230): Motorists traveling southbound on Laurel Road (S-39-230) will be directed to take Calhoun Memorial Highway (US-123) to South B Street ramp (R-5374). They will then take Brushy Creek Road (S-39-29) south to Laurel Road (S-39-230).
