Belleville has confirmed this year’s Festival of Lights will officially open Nov. 14 with a special launch night event.
The illuminated attraction at Jane Forrester Park fronting Meyers Pier draws thousands of residents and visitors every year leading up to Christmas and New Years to walk among the more than 60 decorative displays erected by City of Belleville municipal staff.

City organizers are inviting residents to the holiday celebrations for live music, food vendors, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, Belleville Senators mascot “Belly”, a spectacular drone light show — weather permitting — and more.
Opening ceremonies begin at 5:30 p.m. with the official lighting of the park to follow.
