Molly Malone, a senior at St. Ursula Academy, has never been able to train with weights at the school.
A member of the volleyball team, Molly said she and her teammates were very surprised at what they saw in the new fitness center.
“We were able to lift weights there, and it is so much better than having to lift weights away from our school,” Molly said. “It was so nice. I was in shock. Nothing looked the same. We were all smiling and happy. It is just great to be able to work out at St. Ursula.”
On Monday, St. Ursula held the grand opening of the Esser Performance Improvement Center. The 2,500-square-foot facility, located on the mezzanine of the school’s field house, is a new, larger space that will better accommodate students and athletes.
