Obscured Releasing, a new distribution company, has acquired U.S. distribution rights to “ Endless Cookie ” and will release the feature-length animated documentary theatrically this year. The film, directed by siblings Seth Scriver and Pete Scriver, will be released on Dec. 5 to qualify for awards.

“Endless Cookie” enjoyed an extensive festival run, premiering at Sundance and going on to win the Golden Alexander at the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival and the Contrechamp Jury Award at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The film is described as a “tangential fever dream,” depicting episodes of the brothers’ lives. The story takes viewers through their upbringing in Toronto’s Kensington Market to Pete’s current residence in a remote Northern Manitoba First Nation commun
