PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WTAJ) -- A man was taken to a local hospital in Pittsburgh after falling from the upper concourse stands at a Penguins hockey game Monday night.

The adult male fell from the upper concourse to the lower bowl at PPG Paints Arena Monday night during the Penguins versus Blues game. He was immediately attended to by Pittsburgh EMS as well as PPG Paints Arena personnel, according to the Penguins' Facebook page.

"Our concerns remain with the individual and his family at this time," The post reads.

According to initial reports, the man had fallen from the 200 level of the arena. During the fall, he struck another individual who was in the suite level below before continuing to fall to the 100 level.

The man was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. T
