BENTONVILLE, Ark. — According to officials with the Bentonville School District and Fayetteville Police Department (FPD), two students were hit by separate cars on the morning of Oct. 28.
The Bentonville student was riding their bike to school when they were hit by a car, the district says. The Bright Field Middle School student was reportedly not severely injured, but they were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The 10-year-old Fayetteville student was crossing the street on the crosswalk when their foot was run over by a car, according to Fayetteville police. The injuries from that incident were minor, and the driver was cited for failing to yield, FPD says
