TOLEDO, Ohio — Schmucker's Restaurant, which closed its doors in late August following a kitchen fire , announced a tentative possible opening date on its Facebook page Tuesday morning.

According to the post, the eatery wanted to dispel rumors on the internet that it would be reopening on Nov. 3. "As much as we wished this was accurate, it is wrong."

It said "realistically," Nov. 17 would be the earliest date, though it did not confirm it would reopen that day.

Regarding the restaurant's well-known Thanksgiving pies, Schmucker's said it would still be making more than 1,300 pies for first-come, first-serve purchasing. However, it will not be taking individual orders.
