Joseph Blowers, 43, pleaded no contest to first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a 16-year-old girl in Branch County Circuit Court Monday, Oct. 27.
With the plea, Blowers agreed to serve a minimum of 10½ years in prison.
Circuit Judge Bill O'Grady will determine the maximum sentence, up to life, under Michigan law.
O'Grady set sentencing for Dec. 15.
According to court records, the then 16-year-old girl called 911 in early April after she told her mother of the rape.
Prosecutor Zack Stempien stated the girl said Blowers sexually assaulted her the weekend before the report.
The girl told Branch County sheriff deputies the assaults had taken place regularly over 14 years since she was two years old, the report stated.
